Charlie Kirk, the prominent political commentator and founder of Turning Point USA, was shot during a Q&A with students at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. The university served as the initial location for the organization’s “American Comeback Tour,” which was making its way to various college campuses.

The 31-year-old activist sustained gunshot wounds to his upper body, possibly his neck, according to initial reports.
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots while Kirk was speaking to the students. School authorities indicated that the shots originated from the roof of the Losee Center, located roughly 200 yards from Kirk’s speaking area. The gunfire happened approximately 20 minutes into Kirk’s address.
His condition is unknown, but it is reportedly not looking good.
Today at about 12:10 a shot was fired at the visiting speaker, Charlie Kirk. He was hit and taken from the location by his security. Campus police is investigating, a suspect is in custody.
