In the past week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that the Texas state government would be sending illegal aliens to a new location via bus: Chicago. Tyler Durden of ZeroHedge noted that Chicago is a “sanctuary city” where illegal aliens are allowed to settle in and not face any threat of deportation due to local law enforcement’s unwillingness to cooperate with the federal government.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott this week announced a new destination for migrants being bused out of the Lone Star State: Chicago, a self-proclaimed “sanctuary city.”
On August 31, 2022, two buses loaded with illegal aliens entered the US when they arrived in Chicago’s Union Station that evening. There were 75 aliens on that bus. Per several reports, the bulk of these migrants hailed from Venezuela.
After these illegal aliens were dropped off, Abbott put forward a statement where he announced that Chicago would be among the cities such as Washington, DC and New York City that will now be receiving illegal aliens who initially enter Texas. The Lone Star State’s border security and immigration processing resources are strained, which prompted the state government to launch “Operation Lone Star” in order to reduce the pressure that mass migration has put on Texas.
