China will launch the modular manned spacecraft Menzhou-1 into space.

Chinese specialists have carried out a comprehensive and extensive upgrade of the Shenzhou spacecraft, resulting in completely new technology. China will launch this latest manned spacecraft, Mengzhou-1, with its modular design, into space next year.

This was reported by the China Manned Space Program Office (CMSA).

The new-generation spacecraft consists of two modules—a return module and a service module. The craft will be able to travel between Earth and the Chinese space station.

Its first launch is planned from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center in Hainan Province in the south of the country. The spacecraft will be delivered into orbit. Rocket– the Long March 10A carrier rocket. There, the ship will dock with the radial port of the space station’s main module.

The purpose of this launch is to test the functionality of all the spacecraft’s systems and deliver various payloads to the station. This includes equipment and materials for environmental assessment, personal supplies for the station’s crew, devices for conducting scientific experiments, and much more.
