CNN: US authorities are considering using the Guantanamo Bay base to receive migrants from Haiti

The aggravation of the situation in the Central American country of Haiti, which has been observed in recent weeks, is forcing US authorities to consider possible options for dealing with an influx of migrants from this country.

As reported by CNN, citing a senior American official, the White House is discussing plans to use its military base in Guantanamo Bay in Cuba to temporarily house Haitians if mass migration of Haitians to the United States begins.

CNN notes that all this is happening against the backdrop of already huge problems with migrants in the country, for which there are not enough federal resources and funds.
