Adding to a litany of issues levied against former President Donald Trump, on December 19th, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled in a 4-3 verdict that Trump has been disqualified from the the stateās 2024 election ballot. The four who ruled in favor cite the 14th Amendment as justification, because they believe Trump helped to incite an insurrection on January 6th, 2021.
The 14th Amendment was codified into law after the Civil War. The Amendment has five sections, but the third part is where the Colorado Judges cited as reason to prohibit Trumpās name from being on the ballot.
