Aaron Spencer — a combat veteran who is facing murder charges after killing his daughter’s rapist — has won the Republican primary for sheriff in Lonoke County, Arkansas.
He won 53% of the vote and will now be facing off with Democrat Brian Mitchell Sr. in November.

In October 2024, Aaron Spencer shot and killed a 67-year-old man named Michael Fosler who sexually abused Spencer’s 13-year-old daughter.
Despite claiming that his actions were justified to protect both his daughter and himself, Spencer was outrageously charged with second-degree murder.
