Comprehensive school near Frankfurt: Because it is Ramadan, fifth graders should no longer drink in class

Allowing children to drink when they are thirsty is important for their physical well-being.

The Muslim fasting month began on Sunday. They are not allowed to drink or eat in daylight for 30 days. In a comprehensive school in the greater Frankfurt area, two teachers have now banned fifth graders from drinking in class – out of consideration for Muslim classmates who are fasting. 

Frankfurt Muslims started Ramadan on Sunday evening in the city center under glowing crescent moons and with shouts of Allahu Akbar. On the occasion of the beginning of the month of fasting, the city organized lighting that was put into operation in the evening.

The example of a comprehensive school in the greater Frankfurt area also shows that the practice of Muslim faith is increasingly taking up public space. There, on Monday, two teachers forbade fifth-grade students from drinking – because of the month of fasting.

A father reports

NIUS spoke to a father whose daughter goes to the class in question. He says: “At dinner we always talk about how the day was. I asked my daughter what was new at school. She then told us that two teachers had forbidden the students from drinking in class because three of the 27 children were fasting.”

    In America, no non Muslim should ever be forced to endure the rules of Ramadan. I’m gonna do everything I can to openly flaunt this Muslim BS!
