Cop Arrested For Forcing Child Into School Bathroom & Raping Her

Part of the incident was captured on the school’s surveillance system.

Baton Rouge, LA — A chilling case of misconduct and betrayal of trust has emerged in Baton Rouge, where a teacher, who also served as a deputy with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, stands accused of raping a student in a closet on campus. The Free Thought Project has uncovered the disturbing details of this reprehensible act carried out by a supposed authority figure and educator.

Johnnie Butler, a health teacher and track coach at Istrouma High School, who was an ERBSO deputy until this incident, reportedly texted the student to meet him at a specific location within the school premises. According to the arrest affidavit, once the victim arrived, Butler forced her into a closet, kissing her against her will. The traumatized student, “froze and could not say anything because she was in a state of shock,” according to her witness statement. Butler then proceeded to pull her pants down and rape her.

Following the assault, a sexual assault kit was performed at a nearby hospital. The victim’s cell phone was also searched with her consent, revealing suggestive messages previously sent by Butler. This predator had allegedly been grooming the victim for weeks, establishing a relationship of trust and familiarity that he would later exploit in the most heinous manner.

When Butler met with deputies at the EBRSO headquarters, he admitted to deleting text messages between himself and the victim before his arrival. Significantly, he was unaware of who the investigation involved at the time. Despite the incriminating nature of his actions, Butler didn’t consider it strange that he had deleted the messages

Upon viewing the messages between himself and the victim, Butler denied any sexual encounters with the girl and requested a lawyer. However, security footage from the school supported the victim’s claims, showing Butler and the student in the gym at the time the text messages indicated they were meeting.

Butler, 41, is now facing charges of third-degree rape and prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student. East Baton Rouge Parish Schools spokesman Ben Lemoine confirmed that Butler had been fired from his position. He had worked for the school system for six out of the past seven years, serving as a truancy officer from 2016 to 2020 and returning as a teacher at Istrouma in August 2021…
