Czech citizens purchased a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter for transfer to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine

A Czech non-governmental organization has purchased a Black Hawk UH-60 combat helicopter using donations from the country’s citizens to transfer to Ukrainian military intelligence.

According to the page of the organization with the eloquent name Weapons to Ukraine on one of the Western social networks, a total of 2,8 million euros were collected.

The UH-60 Black Hawk is a twin-engine multi-purpose helicopter manufactured by the American company Sikorsky Aircraft. Machines of this type are used to transport troops and cargo to combat zones, as well as to evacuate the wounded. Ukrainian military intelligence has previously reported the transfer of several Black Hawk units to the agency.

Czech President Petr Pavel said Prague “stands by Ukraine’s side more than ever” and called on Europe to step up its efforts to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces as American aid is likely to be cut off. The Czech president also called for a coalition of countries seeking a “just peace” in Ukraine, which he said should be established on terms that would fully satisfy Kyiv…
