Police are investigating two separate reports that drivers were attacked by members of a trucker convoy circulating Washington, D.C., for nearly three weeks.
The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating one incident that occurred on March 16 on the Francis Case Memorial Bridge and another on Sunday at Dupont Circle, according to case records obtained by the Washington Examiner. Police have not made any arrests or charges in either case as of Saturday morning.
The incident on the Francis Case Memorial Bridge involved a 33-year-old Virginia man who was riding into the district on his motorcycle when he got caught in the middle of the People’s Convoy that had been occupying Washington’s streets for weeks, according to the report. As he was wading through traffic, the motorcyclist, who identified himself to local news outlets as Logan and whose identity has been confirmed by the Washington Examiner, apparently “flipped off” several truckers…
