Deadly flash floods hit south of Spain with entire towns submerged and cars swept off motorways as rescue operation gets underway

At least three people have died in southern Spain as Storm Laurence submerges entire towns with heavy rain and flash flooding.

A cyclist who disappeared Monday in Añora, in the province of Córdoba, was found dead roughly 3 miles away in the town of Dos Torres, La Cadena SER radio reports.

Rescuers had been searching for the man, who was in his 70s, since 5am Tuesday, with the Civil Guard confirming today that his body had been found.
