Deciphering the Goshen Code

By: Brendi Wells | June 2025 | For Jellyfish.NewsA Prophetic Parallel for the Faithful Remnant

The story of Egypt is not just history—it is prophecy in shadow form. What God did then, He is doing again—this time in the spirit. And just like before, His people are not forgotten. They are being sealed, set apart, and supernaturally protected.

Bondage in Egypt: The Shadow of Today

The Israelites lived in a foreign land, captive under a hostile and oppressive regime. Egypt, though cloaked in wealth and power, was not merely a pagan nation—it was operating under the very same Babylonian system that rules the world today. This system did not begin with Pharaoh, nor did it end with Babylon—it traces back to the Tower of Babel, where rebellion against God was first organized on a global scale. From that moment, a counterfeit kingdom was born—built on sorcery, idolatry, blood sacrifice, population control, and the manipulation of minds through fear. Pharaoh’s Egypt was simply one branch of this ancient root, and today, we are once again living under its fruit. The same enslaving system has resurfaced—only this time, it wears a digital crown and speaks through global institutions. God’s people today, just like in ancient Egypt, are surrounded by it—but not abandoned.

Exodus 1:13–14 (LXX)
“And the Egyptians tyrannized the children of Israel by force. And they embittered their life by hard labors, with clay and brick in all the works in the plains, according to all the works, wherein they caused them to serve with violence.”

The Israelites cried out—and God heard. But before their deliverance, came judgment.

Goshen: A Place of Separation and Covering

While Egypt reeled under God’s hand, the Israelites were dwelling in a place called Goshen. It was geographically within Egypt, yet spiritually set apart. This is the Goshen Code:
God’s people are protected—even while judgment falls around them.

Exodus 8:22
“And I will set apart in that day the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the land.”

Over and over, God made a distinction:

  • Plague 4: No flies in Goshen (Exodus 8:22)

  • Plague 5: Egyptian livestock died, Israelite livestock lived (Exodus 9:4–6)

  • Plague 6: Boils on Egyptians, not on Israelites (Exodus 9:11)

  • Plague 9: Thick darkness in Egypt, but light in Goshen (Exodus 10:23)

  • Plague 10: Death of the firstborn… but none touched who were under the blood (Exodus 12:23)

We are here again today. The world is groaning under plagues—economic collapse, pestilence, lawlessness, environmental upheaval—but you, beloved, are in spiritual Goshen.

The Final Plague & the Blood That Speaks

The tenth plague was the most devastating: the death of the firstborn. But God gave His people a way of escape—the blood of the lamb.

Exodus 12:5, 46
“Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year… You shall not break any of its bones.”

That lamb foreshadowed Yahshua, the spotless Lamb of God.

John 19:36
“Not one of His bones shall be broken.”

Everyone covered by that blood was spared. Likewise today:
If you are covered by the blood of Yahshua, judgment cannot touch you.

Revelation 7:3
“Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”

If you have confessed Yahshua with your mouth and believe in your heart that He died for your sins and was raised from the dead (Romans 10:9), then you are sealed. You are marked. You are His..

Spiritual Warfare: How to Abide in Goshen Today

We don’t fight with flesh and blood—we fight in the spirit. Here’s how to activate your Goshen covering:

1. Plead the Blood
Declare the power of Yahshua’s blood over your body, your home, your mind, and your family.

2. Anoint Your Home
Use oil. Walk your house. Declare: This territory is holy unto the Lord.
(Exodus 12:7, Mark 6:13)

3. Command with Authority

Luke 10:19
“Behold, I give you authority… over all the power of the enemy.”
Say it aloud:
“In Yahshua’s name, I command every unclean spirit to leave and never return.”

4. Put On the Armor
Read Ephesians 6:11–18. Dress daily in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word.

5. Walk Your Land

Joshua 1:3
“Wherever the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you.” (In other words, wherever you dwell—wherever your feet touch—you have been given spiritual authority. That ground is yours in Christ. When you walk your land, anoint it, and declare His Name, the enemy loses all legal right to operate there.)

6. Repent and Close Doors
Sin opens the door. Repentance closes it. (Stay close to the Father—listen for His still, small voice. Talk to Him—He desires fellowship with you. And when you walk in this closeness, sin grows more distant from you with each passing day.)

7. Stay in the Word
His Word is your Goshen map. Read it, speak it, live it.

Encouragement for the Remnant

Romans 8:19 (Dead Sea Scrolls variant)
“The creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.” (That’s YOU and ME! Our time is coming—Not to fear, but to rise… Stay faithful.)

Isaiah 54:17
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”

1 John 4:4
“Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”

2 Timothy 1:7
“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

This darkness is not your destruction—it’s their judgment. You’ve been praying for God to expose evil. He is. Right now.

Isaiah 26:20
“Go, my people, enter your chambers and shut the doors behind you. Hide yourself for a little while until the wrath has passed.”

This isn’t the end. It’s the beginning. The shaking is here, but so is the glory.

Even if the worst were to happen—if bombs fall, cities burn, or headlines scream louder than ever before—let this truth settle deep within you: you are not at the mercy of the world. You are at the mercy of our Father in Heaven—and He is full of mercy.  Lamentations 3:22–23
“It is because of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
(You don’t carry on with yesterday’s leftover mercy—He gives you a fresh portion every single day.)

And if your eyes close in this realm, they will open in the next, and the first face you’ll see will be Yahshua, your Redeemer. We are entering a time of great shaking. This weekend feels like a culmination—Trump’s parade, the wars escalating between Israel and Iran, Russia and NATO tensions, civil unrest brewing across American cities—so much is converging. But we must understand: this is likely only the beginning of turbulent periods to come. Let this be your crash course in how to stand. Root yourself now. Let this weekend drive you closer to the One who saves.

“Go, My people, enter into your chambers and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while, until the wrath has passed.” — Isaiah 26:20

This is one of the strongest promises in all of Scripture. It is both protection and instruction. Go into your home. Speak to Yahshua. Plead the blood. Anoint your doorposts. Walk your property. Declare it holy. Re-read everything in this article and make it your spiritual blueprint. Because yes—things may escalate. But if you are rooted in truth, if you know who your Redeemer is, and if you know that you are sealed and protected, you have nothing to fear. Whether in life or in death, you are His. 1 Corinthians 15:55
“O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?”

You are loved. You are hidden. You are covered.

Welcome to Goshen. You are marked SAFE.

So lift up your head, remnant. Your redemption draws near. You are sealed. You are His. You are in Goshen.

This is such an interesting article Brendi, since I’ve been thinking about this for quite sometime. The land of Goshen. A Spiritual harbor of refuge and protection for our Heavenly Fathers children. Those who guard and obey His Word, remaining in Covenant with Him as His Bride. Everything in Father’s Word is a type and shadow of things to come. As Yahshua exclaimed when He was speaking to all withinthe sound of His voice, “Those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit has said.”
I appreciate how you articulated it putting in words that I could not express in my own, applying Scripture to emphasize what Father wanted His children to understand. We are not left abandoned when the going gets rough. We belong to Him, and He takes care of His own. We are His. Peace and Shalom to you and yours. ♡🕊🙏
