Timed to “embarrass,” festivities honoring a milestone for America’s Mayor included party-crashers courtesy of Arizona’s Democratic attorney general.
Friday in Palm Beach, Florida, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) was joined by “hundreds of people who love him” as part of an early celebration of his 8oth birthday. The shindig, that was incorporated into Hizzoner’s podcast nearly two weeks before its actual date, included a sour surprise when two officials from the Grand Canyon State arrived with notice of indictment.
Bragging about being the latest battleground state to bring legal action against parties who’d challenged the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes reacted to a post from Giuliani late Friday, “The final defendant was served moments ago. @RudyGiuliani nobody is above the law,” before sharing a screengrab of a since deleted post from the mayor, “If Arizona authorities can’t find me by tomorrow morning: 1. They must dismiss the indictment; 2. They must concede they can’t count votes.”

Friday’s notice made the mayor the last of the 18 co-indicted individuals to be formally notified of the Arizona case that included Mark Meadows, Jenna Ellis and 11 supporters of former President Donald Trump who had signed a certificate claiming to be the state’s correct electors for the Electoral College.
While the New York Post reported “Most of the 200 guests” had departed by the time the state officials had arrived, it was said that “some of the stragglers began screaming — including one woman who cried as Giuliani was handed the papers…
