
Non-US citizens will soon be allowed to become police officers in the state of Illinois.
Illinois House Bill 3571 which gives non-US citizens power to arrest people as police officers,Ā passed both the House and Senate.
Republican state senator Rose Chapin was concerned about the new bill passing and stated āWhat this means in Illinois, is that you may soon see non-US citizens wearing police badges, with arrest powers over US citizens.ā
Currently the bill sits at democrat Governor J. B. Pritzkerās desk where its expected to get signed.
