According to sources, Twitter has threatened to sue Meta over its new platform dubbed ‘Threads’—a microblogging platform eerily similar to Twitter.
A letter sent from Twitter to Meta claimed that Meta illegally hired and contracted ex-Twitter employees with insider knowledge and sensitive trade secrets to work at Meta and develop Threads.
Twitter alleges that this was deliberately done by Meta in violation of U.S. intellectual property laws and that the social media giant will seek all methods of recourse—including legal action.
