DOGE Has Terminated 113 Contracts Valued at $4.7B

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has taken decisive action to cut federal spending by terminating 113 contracts valued at $4.7 billion.

Among the cuts were climate change initiatives in Peru and gender equity programs in Mexico, which were deemed unnecessary expenditures.

In a statement posted on X, DOGE announced, “[Tuesday] agencies terminated 113 wasteful contracts with a ceiling value of $4.7B and savings of $3.3B, including a $145K USDA consulting contract for ‘Peru climate change activities.’”

The department framed the move as a necessary step toward reducing government waste and focusing resources on domestic priorities…
