The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) revealed Friday that it was releasing a final tranche of 3.5 million documents related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the well-connected late financier who was facing federal charges of sex trafficking before his 2019 death.
In a press conference held Friday morning, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the new batch of documents being released to the public was one of the last steps the DOJ was required to take under a Congressional bill signed by President Trump related to the release of the infamous Epstein files.
