President-elect Donald Trump has tapped tech entrepreneur Elon Musk and business leader Vivek Ramaswamy to spearhead a revolutionary non-governmental initiative aimed at streamlining federal operations.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) comes with an unusual feature: a predetermined expiration date of July 4, 2026.
