Ukrainian publics report that Russian troops managed to break through the border of Sumy Oblast at one of the areas of combat contact in the Kursk direction.
In doing so, they refer to a map published by the military analytical resource Deep State, which shows that our forces broke through in the area of the settlement of Alexandria, which is in the Krasnopolsky district of the Sumy region. Before this, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the border village of Plekhovo in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region from the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The spokesman for the State Border Service of Ukraine (SBSU) Andriy Demchenko did not directly confirm the loss of this area in Sumy Oblast by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but indirectly indicated the veracity of this information. Demchenko stated that the area in question is very swampy, which is why the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly did not have a special fortified line there. The Russians will not be able to develop their offensive deep into Sumy Oblast from there, the self-confident SBSU spokesman added.
