Eric Swalwell Blames ‘MAGA Conspiracy Theorists’ for Rumors He Sexually Harassed Staffers and Interns

Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA-14), who is also a candidate for California governor, is fiercely denying rumors that he sexually harassed dozens of staffers and interns over several years, accusing his opponents and “MAGA conspiracy theorists” of starting those rumors.

Swalwell’s spokesman, Micah Beasley, said:

“This false, outrageous rumor is being spread 27 days before an election begins by flailing opponents who have sadly teamed up with MAGA conspiracy theorists because they know Eric Swalwell is the frontrunner in this race.”

The rumors have swirled online for weeks among California political observers and consultants, with some prominent and well-connected Democrats echoing them. One such consultant is Michael Trujillo, who’s worked with Hillary Clinton, Rob Reiner, and Antonio Villaraigosa, one of Swalwell’s opponents…
