Escalation: Houthis Rebels Attack Supply Ships In Red Sea Causing Global Disruptions. US Leads International Coalition To Defend Area

The regional conflict with Israel and Gaza continues to expand into a much larger international concern, as Houthis rebel forces are being blamed for disrupting global trade and creating new global supply chain disruptions. In response, the United States and a coalition of other nations have banded together to reduce the threats attacking freighter ships.

Weeks after Israel declared war on the terrorist group Hamas on October 7th, the militant group known as the Houthis from Yemen declared war on Israel, and proceeded to launch strikes against the Israelis and U.S.-backed forces in the region. The U.S., by proxy, has been fighting on the side of terrorist group Al-Qaeda and the Saudi Arabians as they have waged a very bloody war against Yemen.

The Houthis’ involvement has continually proven to be a problem in the region. On December 4th, The WinePress reported on a briefing from The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) that several U.S. commercial ships were attacked. CENTCOM indicated that they would be looking into what to do about these developments, and once again blamed Iran for backing the Houthis’.
