Ex Director of US Air Force UFO Study Says “They Know” What UFOs Are In His Very Last Interview

IN BRIEF

  • The Facts:
    • In his very last interview before his passing, Colonel Robert Friend, who from 1958-1962 was a director of Project Blue Book, suggests the U.S. Air Force knew what “UFOs” were.
    • Why has this subject, and many others, been surrounded in secrecy?
  • Reflect On:Can we really rely on government to tell us the truth regarding what they know and have discovered regarding these objects?

A film released in 2020 by director James Fox titled “The Phenomenon” explores the extraterrestrial UFO/ issue, navigating the longstanding cover up and global mystery involving unidentified aerial phenomenon.

The film features multiple interviews, including one with Colonel Robert Friend. It was his last interview before his passing. Friend was a director of the US government’s Project Bluebook, a decades old program that investigated the UFO phenomenon. Some would consider the modern day version of this program to be the US defense department’s newly launched program, the “Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG).” According to them,

“Incursions by any airborne object into our SUA pose safety of flight and operations security concerns, and may pose national security challenges.  DOD takes reports of incursions – by any airborne object, identified or unidentified – very seriously, and investigates each one.”

You can see a portion of Friend’s interview where he suggests that the Air Force closed the Blue Book program because they knew what these objects were, below. He doesn’t mention exactly “what” but there’s no doubt an interesting expression on his face.
