A GOP-led House committee has concluded that COVID-19 “most likely emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China,” despite attempts by U.S. and Chinese government officials to claim otherwise.
The conclusion is tucked away in a 520-page report produced by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The report was produced following a two-year investigation that involved 30 transcribed interviews/depositions and 25 hearings/meetings.

“Four years after the onset of the worst pandemic in 100 years, the weight of the evidence increasingly supports the lab leak hypothesis,” the report reads.
“Since the Select Subcommittee commenced its work in February 2023, more and more senior intelligence officials, politicians, science editors, and scientists increasingly have endorsed the hypothesis that COVID-191 emerged as the result of a laboratory or research-related accident,” it continues.
