A farm attack took place on Friday morning, 5 June 2020, at 02:30 in Remhoogte, Hartbeespoort, in the North West province of South Africa. Pieter Nel (65) and Ann Nel (61) were attacked while they were sleeping by four armed assailants and Pieter was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the chest and is in a critical condition.
The attackers seriously assaulted the couple insisting that they open the safe. Ann sustained serious head injuries and was also taken to hospital.
The police are investigating the attack but there have been no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.
