Dr. Richard Ebright, a microbiologist from Rutgers University, testified in front of the Senate Homeland Security Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Spending Oversight yesterday that Dr. Fauci, and other officials lied when they denied funding Gain of Function (GoF) research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China.
Specifically, Ebright claimed “…that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other U.S. federal agencies funded research that fit the definition of GoF at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) without proper oversight,” according to this report.
Of course, this contradicts statements from public health officials, especially those from Dr. Anthony “Mini-Mengele” Fauci, who infamously mixed it up with Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky) on more than one senate-hearing occasion. Fauci repeatedly denied that GoF was taking place at the Wuhan lab or that the National Institutes of Health (NIH), or the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), had anything to with the funding, often times under oath.
Remember this Gem from last November’s Senate hearing?
"Senator Paul, with all due respect, you are entirely and completely incorrect that the NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain of function research in the Wuhan institute" — Dr. Fauci pic.twitter.com/6KP6PeoURz
