Brittany Rivoire, 36, has been charged with first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, armed criminal action, and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle.
A criminal complaint reviewed by the New York Post said that Palmer initially had a friend riding in his vehicle with him that night, but decided to exit after developing concerns about Rivoire’s behavior. Palmer’s family said he was out searching for scrap metal and had a history of picking up hitchhikers.
