A female inmate at Central California Women’s Facility is reportedly pregnant after the state legislature passed laws allowing biological males who identify as transgender to be housed in women’s prison facilities alongside biological women.
At least one female prisoner became pregnant inside Central California Women’s Facility after a male felon was transferred to the facility, according to Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF).
The policy went into effect January 1, and since then, 261 inmates have requested transfers, nearly all of them biological males asking to be housed with women.
“We have now heard from seven different people inside CCWF that at least one woman, possibly more, is now pregnant after being housed with a male felon who was transferred to the women’s prison under SB132,” WoLF said in a tweet.https://twitter.com/WomensLibFront/status/1419723052762468352?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1419723052762468352%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthepostmillennial.com%2Ffemale-prisoner-pregnant-california-trans-policy

“Conditions are described as ‘a nightmare’s worst nightmare’ by women incarcerated in California after the passage of @Scott_Wiener’s SB 132. Now, the system is bracing for a wave of pregnancies and increased violence in the facilities. #StopSB132,” WoLF continued, firing back at California’s legislation.
Women’s Liberation Front went on to slam California legislators for enabling sexual assault after the passing of SB 132 and said the prison administration dispersing contraceptives to female inmates is a “tacit admission” by officials.
