Fentanyl Deaths are Surging in Border Communities

According to United States officials, several American communities just north of the US-Mexico border have experienced an 800% increase in fentanyl deaths in recent years.

Areas such as Riverside County, that lies between Los Angeles and San Diego, has experienced a shocking fentanyl crisis.

Riverside County District Attorney Michael Hestrin has been one of the most prominent public officials detailing the fentanyl crisis taking place stateside.

According to Hestrin, the number of fentanyl-related deaths has surged by over 800% in the last five years.

As John Binder of Breitbart News noted, while there are no official figures for 2021 as of now, “the fentanyl death toll is expected to exceed the prior year’s record-breaking total.”…
