Last month the popular flour and baking good company King Arthur Baking announced they partnered with a group called Project Potluck, that will host a baking competition that is exclusive to âpeople of colorâ and bans Whites.
Though the contest is over, first reported by The Washington Examiner last month, the contest the winners received âmentorship to help them grow their businesses and baking skills along with a grand prize of $10,000.â
But, in order to enter, The WE noted applicants needed âto reach a number of eligibility requirements, including having a business or bakery led by a person of color and being a community member of Project Potluck, among other requirements.â
On Project Potluckâs website the group says, âWeâre empowering People of Color to build successful companies and careers in the Consumer-Packaged Goods Industry (CPG).â
