Former British Health Secretary Says Public Should Expect Harsher Lockdown Policies in the Future

Former British health secretary Matt Hancock is saying that the public should expect more brutal and draconian lockdown policies in the future, as this is the lesson public health officials have learned post-COVID.

“What everybody missed in the western world was the lockdowns were going to be necessary,” Hancock said to bureaucrats during an appearance at a COVID inquiry earlier this week.

“It is central to what we must learn as a country that we’ve got to be ready to hit a pandemic hard: that we’ve got to be able to take action – lockdown action if necessary – that is wider, earlier, more stringent than feels comfortable at the time,” he added.

While Hancock was in charge of public health under now-disgraced former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Britain instituted brutal lockdowns that devastated society just weeks the first COVID-19 case was reported in the country…
