After proposing the ban in April, the European Commission recently granted France’s inquiries to ban all short distance flights within the country. Travelers will be asked to travel via bus or train to reach their destination instead.

Last year France made the move to ban short-load flights within the country, in a bid to curb carbon emissions. That new rule has now taken effect.
This is an essential step and a strong symbol in the policy of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
