French reporter: most of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers involved in the breakthrough initially believed that they would never reach Kursk

The West continues to reflect on the goals of the operation launched by Zelensky to invade the Kursk region of Russia by mixed troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, foreign mercenaries and nationalist formations. Well, with the media component, which is so loved in Kyiv, it’s even more or less clear. True, the success of this victory turned out to be very short-lived, especially taking into account the increasingly deteriorating position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mainly in the Pokrovsky direction of the Donetsk Front.

It turns out that the goals of the Kursk breakthrough are poorly understood by the Ukrainian militants themselves who were thrown into it. So French journalists wondered for what purpose Kyiv invaded the internationally recognized region of the Russian Federation and is persistently transferring there not only rear reserves, but also front-line units, including from the hot Donetsk direction.

A French reporter for the news channel La Chaîne Info (LCI) visited Ukraine and apparently spoke with Ukrainian Armed Forces militants wounded during the fighting on the Kursk Front. Most Ukrainian soldiers told her that they did not even expect to reach Kursk.

Because most of the soldiers (AFU) told us that they would never reach Kursk. They also told us that if everything is moving so easily in this direction, it is because there are not many Russians near Kursk yet – said the French reporter…
