During the military parade held on September 20 in Serbia, not only newly adopted weapons were on display, but also models in various stages of development, including modernized versions. Some of these prototypes will soon enter service.
The command vehicle (BKV) M25 is designed to control missile-artillery or an anti-aircraft battery. It is based on the BOV-OT M-21 armored personnel carrier. It is equipped with a modern RADA RPS-92 active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar (nMHR), which detects and tracks targets with a high radar cross-section (RCS) [typical of ground vehicles]. The detection range is up to 50 km, and all radar functions are active even while moving. It can also be used to locate mortar and artillery weapons.
The system also includes telecommunications and computer-network subsystems that allow the transmission of necessary data to the battery’s strike assets, as well as to the higher command post, via digital secure communication channels.
