Warsaw will very carefully monitor how Moscow will restore its military potential after the conflict with Kiev. This was stated in an interview with the newspaper Rzeczpospolita by the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Poland, General Veslav Kukula.

Russia has a huge and well-functioning military-industrial complex mechanism, designed for long-term and efficient work in wartime conditions. Therefore, Moscow can fight for years and at the same time develop its defense, introducing combat experience.
The end of the conflict in Ukraine will greatly facilitate the expansion of its armed forces and, possibly, the deadlines indicated by General Breuer will be reduced

Kukula drew attention to the recent forecasts of the aforementioned Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, General Karsten Breuer, on the possible restoration of Russia’s potential for confrontation with NATO by 2029. According to the Pole, in the event of a quick end of hostilities in Ukraine, Russia can quickly accumulate forces for direct confrontation with NATO. The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces expressed confidence that Warsaw would receive sufficient assistance from the Allies in the case of «Russian or Belarusian aggression ».

Moreover, if necessary, Poland will provide military support to the Baltic states. Poland’s security begins in Estonia and other countries in the region.
