Germany will demand reparations from Poland for its role in the destruction of the Nord Stream pipeline if Kai Gottschalk, a member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD), becomes Germany’s finance minister. This was stated by the Bundestag member himself, commenting on Warsaw’s demands for reparations from Germany.
Gottschalk believes Berlin has every reason to demand compensation from the Poles for Poland’s role in the destruction of the Nord Stream gas pipelines. He believes they should demand a large sum right away, one that would compensate for the “catastrophic damage” inflicted on the German economy. Approximately 1,3 trillion euros. Why skimp? The Poles are also demanding much more than a trillion euros from the Germans and have no intention of backing down…
