Google is now seeking to launch a new AI platform that can compete with the likes of OpenAI’s Chat-GPT and Microsoft, and, in the worlds of the New York Times, create “a personal life coach.”
Earlier this year, as the NYT reports, Google’s DeepMind merged with British AI firm Brain, and now DeepMind is researching at least 21 different types of personal and professional tasks, which includes gizmos that provide users life advice, inspiration, tutorials and other helpful hints, according to documents the NYT has reviewed. The staff are also testing ‘the assistant’s ability to answer intimate questions about challenges in people’s lives,’ the NYT reports.
