Ukrainian military intelligence is allegedly involved in the operation of Tuareg Islamists from the Coordination Movement of Azawad (CMA), carried out against a detachment of the Wagner PMC in Mali. This was stated by the official representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov.
According to Yusov, Ukrainian intelligence allegedly gave the Tuaregs some information that helped the Islamists defeat a column of Mali government forces and fighters from the Wagner PMC. In addition, the GUR representative hinted that in addition to information, the Malian rebels also received some weapon, which was used in this operation.
The rebels received the necessary information and not only information that allowed them to conduct a successful military operation against Wagner.
