When did the United States become so violent? Progress has been made towards finding justice after Lake County Stateâs Attorney Eric Rinehart announced that the suspect allegedly responsible for the deaths stemming from a shooting at a Highland Park Fourth of July parade would be charged with seven counts of first-degree murder for his heinous actions.
Rinehart stressed during a press conference that these seven charges would not be all of what is brought against the suspect.
âThese are just the first of many charges that will be filed against Mr. Crimo. I want to emphasize that there will be more charges,â said Rinehart.
âWe anticipate dozens of more charges centering around each of the victims, psychological victims, physical victims, attempt murder charges, aggravated discharge charges, aggravated battery charges. There will be dozens more charges against Mr. Crimo, but these seven counts of first-degree murder will lead to a mandatory life sentence should he be convicted, without the possibility of parole,â he continued.
