Wokeism has taken the form of religion that has adopted various beliefs mixed with Marxism and critical race theory (CRT), said pastor Lucas Miles.Critical race theory, an offshoot of a neo-Marxist branch of thought, was influenced by liberation theology and black liberation theology, he explained.
Marxâs works were inspired by Georg Wilhelm Hegel, a German philosopher, who wrote about spirit, the Bible, and religion, Miles told EpochTVâs âCrossroadsâ program.
Most leftists are probably not aware of the religious impact on wokeism, but there is in it âthis religious undertone thatâs been passed down,â Miles said. âI think we need to call this stuff what it is, it is a religion.â…
