HUGE! DeSantis Issues Final Ultimatum To Florida Companies To Comply With E-Verify

In December of 2022, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) sent letters to multiple companies requesting that they provide documentation showing that they are in compliance with the state’s e-verify laws.

The law requires private employers to verify a person’s employment eligibility by proving their legal residence in the United States after accepting a job offer.

Still, some companies have not complied with the law.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stated that companies would face more severe consequences in the near future if they did not comply with the law, leading to the DEO to send out letters giving companies one final ultimatum before they lose licenses essential to conducting business in the Sunshine State.

The letter was sent to multiple high-profile companies in the state, including Prestige Cruise Services LLC, Upperline Health Inc, and the American National Red Cross.
