‘I feel sorry for him’: Brother of Jackie Walorski responds to Biden gaffe

by Ryan King

The brother of the late Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) downplayed an apparent gaffe by President Joe Biden in which the president asked for the late congresswoman, explaining that he is not angry.

During a speech at the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health Wednesday, Biden asked if Walorski was in attendance, despite the fact that she died in a car crash in August. Keith Walorski, one of her brothers, shrugged off the incident, explaining that Biden is “trying.”

“All I’m saying right now about the president is bless his heart for trying. Yeah, it was a big mess-up today. Inexcusable? No. Unforgivable? No. I’m not gonna hold it against him. I just feel sorry for him,” Keith Walorski told the New York Post.

Jackie Walorski helped plan the hunger conference along with Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA), Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), and Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN).
