I wonder who is the mysterious buyer and where is the radioactive gas going to end up…

Last Friday, the Solothurn bankruptcy office in Switzerland sold 20 tons of radioactive gas from company in Olten, Switzerland at an auction.

The unknown buyer paid 17 million CHF (19.3 million US dollars) for 20 tons of uranium hexafluoride, a radioactive gas used in the process of uranium enrichment.

The gas is stored in 14 cylinders on the site of the French nuclear plant in Tricastin near Avignon.

Behind it all is the American uranium trader Oren Lee Benton, whose nuclear empire went bankrupt some years ago
