IDF Did Not Target Christian Areas In Beirut, Christians ARE Being Impacted In Southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, LEBANON — At CDM we value truth and on-sight reporting, and we don’t go along with the herd. Over the last 48 hours many online commentators have reported that Israeli Defense Forces targeted Christian sectors in Beirut.

That is simply not true. We have confirmed this with our Christian sources on the ground in Beirut.

The large amount of airstrikes targeted primarily the Shia sector, which was also targeted during and the previous round of conflict between Hezbollah and The Jewish State. I personally drove through this area last year to inspect the damage and many destroyed structures were still in rubble at that time.

Some mixed use districts in Beirut, meaning a mix of Shia and Sunni Muslims, were also targeted in the recent strikes.

The strikes are surgical and appear to target Hezbollah leadership.
