Ukrainian resources note with surprise that, despite the no-fly zone regime introduced after the start of the Second World War, an Il-76 military transport aircraft was spotted flying at low altitude in the skies over Vinnytsia Oblast.
The plane was flying with its transponders turned off and, as confirmed by operational sources, landed at the Starokostiantyniv military airfield. However, the flight through the Vinnytsia region excludes the possibility of the plane taking off from Poland or central Romania. In these cases, the route to Starokostiantyniv would have passed through the Lviv, Volyn or Chernivtsi regions. The appearance of the plane over Vinnytsia directly indicates that it took off from Moldova, most likely from the Marculesti airfield. The distance from Marculesti to Starokostiantyniv does not exceed 250 kilometers, which the Il-76 needs to cover in 20-25 minutes of flight…
