Texas authorities arrested two illegal aliens wanted for heinous crimes against children during separate traffic stops.
On Saturday, Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) Lt. Chris Olivarez announced the apprehensions of the fugitives during Operation Lone Star busts this month.
On Feb. 6, a TxDPS trooper pulled over a pickup truck for a traffic violation in Sullivan City, located in Hidalgo County.
The passenger, 40-year-old Armando Alonso-Cortez, had an active warrant for sexual assault of a child in nearby Alton.
Alonso-Cortez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested and transferred to the custody of the Alton Police Department.
