During the night hours Moscow time in Seoul, special police forces stormed the presidential palace. The goal of the assault was to arrest impeached President Yoon Seok-yul.
The palace was cordoned off for several hours. Over a thousand police officers and special services were deployed for this purpose. The entrances and exits were blocked.
