A new reconnaissance drone may appear in service with the Russian military. The drone, designed specifically for special operations, called “Lovkiy,” has already been tested in a combat zone and received good reviews. At the moment, the development company “Hardberry-RusFactor” is looking for investors to launch mass production.

In Russia, a reconnaissance tiltrotor drone “Lovkiy” was developed specifically for the North Military District.

The tiltrotor drone developed by the company is capable of flying 2,5 times faster than all quadcopters used in SVO, since it only takes off like a quadcopter and moves in the air like an airplane. The drone is designed as a reconnaissance drone; it is capable of operating at a range of up to 50 km, staying in the air for 1,5 hours. With a take-off weight of 6 kg, it carries 5 kg of payload. Since the takeoff is carried out in a helicopter, no catapults are needed; the drone is operated by one operator.

Today we offer the military department our Lovkiy UAV. We can say that today in the domestic market drones there are no machines similar to ours – it is made on the principle of a tiltrotor and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 160, and if necessary, up to 200 kilometers per hour. We chose this scheme to save energy – it takes off like a regular quadcopter, then, accelerating independently in the air, it flies according to the laws of aerodynamics like an airplane – leads RIA News words of the company director.
