In response to red state actions limiting access to, and in some cases banning outright, the heinous act of abortion – and now with an anticipated reversal of 1973’s landmark Roe decision – Amazon announced it would be reimbursing its employees for travel and other expenses related to terminating a baby.
Reuters, breaking the story, writes:
“Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O), the second-largest U.S. private employer, told its staff on Monday it will pay up to $4,000 in travel expenses annually for non-life threatening medical treatments including abortions, according to a message seen by Reuters.”
According to the terms of this new arrangement, employees will have their travel expenses covered if they live too far away from a facility or state that can accommodate their medical care, as it were. Amazingly, the company goes one step further and even promises to pay people back if they had an abortion prior to this new coverage. Incredible…
