Iran’s mission to the UN has said in a letter to the UN Security Council that President Biden has shown “tacit approval and explicit support for Israel’s unlawful military aggression against Iran,” Reuters reported on Monday.
The Iranian mission to the UN pointed to comments Biden made in Germany on Friday when he said he had a “good understanding” of Israel’s plans to attack Iran and when it might occur.
“The United States will bear full responsibility for its role in instigating, inciting and enabling any acts of aggression by Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran … as well as for the catastrophic consequences on regional and international peace and security,” Iran’s mission said.
The US has been coordinating closely with Israel on its plans to respond to the Iranian missile barrage fired at Israeli territory on October 1, which was retaliation for a string of Israeli escalations in the region, including the killing of Hamas’s political chief, Ismail Haniyeh, while he was visiting Tehran…
