Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned on Tuesday that Iran would have a “severe” response to any “aggression” against the country, comments that came a day after President Trump said he would support another Israeli attack on Iran.
“The response of the Islamic Republic of Iran to any oppressive aggression will be harsh and regrettable,” Pezeshkian wrote on X.
Trump said on Monday, while meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that he would back an attack if Iran “continues” its conventional missile program or tries to rebuild its civilian nuclear program that was damaged by US airstrikes during the US-Israeli war against the Islamic Republic. He also threatened to “knock the hell” out of Iran if it “builds up again.”
